.jpeg) | It's that time of year, when many people look forward to a fresh start and set goals to improve their health and fitness. The problem with New Year’s resolutions is that most good intentions are often derailed within a few weeks. Does this sound familiar? You are not alone. Fortunately, you don’t have to embark on this alone either - you can bring your four-legged friend along for the ride. |

 | Myra is an approx. 6-8 year old spayed female Rottweiler. She came into Toronto Animal Services North Region at the beginning of August but she was never claimed. She loves affection, walks wonderfully on leash, knows her basic commands and LOVES stuffed toys. |

 | My name is Lola just like the song. Although I have never been a showgirl dancer many people feel I have good looks and charisma to be a star! I have petite physique and weigh in at a slight 10 pounds and although I am 8 years old, I don’t look at day over 3 years. I'm spayed, up to date on vaccines and am micro chipped. I had a kidney stone removed but that was a long time ago. I have lots of energy and enthusiasm for life. I love going for walks and strutting my blondeness! |

.jpg) | The night of ghosts and goblins is fast approaching. This can be lots of fun for the whole family, whether you are out collecting treats for tricks, or at home giving them out to the kids. It can be the favorite evening of the year for many of our youngsters, but not many dogs put it on their top ten list. |

| Some of the most frustrating cases that I see include the itchy dog. The itchy dog can be difficult to diagnose and even when a diagnosis is made, treatment can often be frustrating and un-rewarding. It is difficult to watch a dog stop what it is doing to scratch or to stay awake all night scratching because it just can't get relief. When these cases aren't resolved, I'm not happy, the owner isn't happy and the dog definitely isn't happy. |

 | Summer is a great time to get outside with your dog and spend some wonderful quality time together. The weather is warm, the sun is shining and it’s time to have some fun! It’s time to get outside more and enjoy walking and playing with your dog, going to the cottage or for a swim in your backyard pool. However, summer isn’t all fun and games. This is also the season that many of my clients are concerned about the effect that thunderstorms and fireworks have on their dogs. |
