Brief Overview of WPMD
Communities gather across the world to honour, remember and celebrate their beloved animal companions on World Pet Memorial Day. This is a day for people whose grief is often silenced to come together and honour in a public forum the bonds they have shared with their animals. This year’s World Pet Memorial Day (the third in Toronto) is being hosted by People Passionate about Pets in partnership with PawsWay Pet Discovery Centre.
Call–Out
An important part of the day will be having diverse community groups and organizations that represent a service or product relating to the loss of animal companions participate through information sharing. People who attend will be able to visit different booths to learn more about these services and products. In addition to sharing this information, the presence of community groups and organizations will help serve the purpose of the day, which is to make the statement that pet loss matters.
Interested?
If your community group or organization is interested in participating on Sunday, June 6, 2010, here is what you need to know:
1. You will be required to arrive to PawsWay Pet Discovery Centre at 10:00 a.m. to setup your booth.
2. Your group will be provided with one 6-foot table.
3. You will be asked to staff your booth so that people’s questions can be answered and they are provided with information or resources about your community group or organization.
4. There is a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per community group or organization.
If you are interested in participating and securing a booth, please contact us no later than April 30th, 2010. Spaces is limited so respond soon to ensure you are a part of history in the making!
