Our community events calendar features a monthly listing of dog related seminars, dog trade shows, fairs and/or fundraising events for dogs in and around the Greater Toronto Area.

February 8, 2010  Professional Pet Care 101: Ever wondered if there was somewhere that offered training to work in the Pet Care Industry? Well here it is! February 13/14, 2010 - PET FUNFEST Sat 13th 10-6pm and Sun 10-5pm - join over 50 pet rescues and vendors at Downsview Park in Toronto for a special Valentines Weekend. Pet Fun Fest and Adopt A Pet-a-thon, a groundbreaking public event bringing together animal lovers and pet welfare communities for a tail-wagging and illuminating experience. Meet and learn about pocket pets, cats and dogs of different sizes, shapes and colours, all waiting for someone with a big heart to bring them home. Also featured: Guest speakers, demos, seminars, vendors and “speed-dating” sessions. PLUS - with an eye on the Guinness Book – there’ll be an attempt at the Canadian record for the largest simultaneous mass “Stay,” with some 200 dogs.  ADMISSION: Both ends of the leash are invited to the FIRST indoor pet show that allows dogs, a must-go event for all pet lovers.

February 18, 2010 - Puppy 'Head Start' Training Classes: For medium and large breed puppies under 5 months old and small breed puppies under 6 months old. Six weeks of pure fun, positive learning, and essential socialization for very young puppies - and their families! This is the most important class your puppy will ever take! Your puppy's first months are the most critical for establishing good habits and preventing future behavior problems.
