More About Emma

We have an AMAZING foster dog that's ready for her forever home....she's had a hard life and is really coming around. the pics DO NOT do her justice...she is SO gorgeous that we get compliments about her wherever we go...though she is a German Sheppard she takes up as little room as a medium sized dog...She is a very timid girl, and prefers quiet low key environments.Once you get her to wag her tail there is nothing else like it. She came to us afraid of new people, places and adventures. She has since pushed her way into our hearts. She follows the lead of the resident beagle dog in the house and would do best in a home with other dogs (who can teach her it's okay to be a goof around humans). She is scared of men and cats (this is starting to change), but has managed to charm both in her new foster. She would do great in a home that is not strict with obedience training, and has a gentle touch. It does not take much to make her behave. She will be timid the first few days, and needs tons of love, along with space and reassurance. But once she comes around get ready for tons of kisses and hugs. She is allowed to "jump up" and hug humans as it comes from such a loving place; this habit has not been discouraged, and in fact encouraged as it gives her so much joy. She has definitely been the most gentle and delicate dog we've had a pleasure to live with, and loves to love you when she finally comes around. She requires a ton of patience and love, so she can start to trust again. She is an absolute joy and ready for a permanent loving home.
