1) Punctuality, Trustworthiness,
The client is opening their house to a stranger, they must trust the walker as they are letting him/her to his house. It is important for the dog walker to be on time, your dog will know and you will know when the Pup hasn’t been walked
2) Dog Friendly areas
Toronto Designated areas for dogs to run off leash
3) Your dog's safety & happiness comes before anything
Make sure the walker knows the dogs names (simple but important) their personality (like to run, walk, get along with other dogs, walk solo or in packs). Dogs are pack animals and most cases they enjoy walking with a group (Toronto allows 6 dogs at one time). Bring water, leashes, balls etc.
4) Insurance – Bonded and Insured
5) Same Walker Every Day
Creates familiarity and comfort not only for the owner but also, and most importantly your Puppy!!!
6) Client Communication
Special Requests, Specific Times for Walking, Keep the client aware of what happened with the dog on the walk etc.
7) Environmentally Friendly (Bio bags)
