Rosie and Jackie are Border Collie and sisters. Born together, raised together, they even like to eat out of the same bowl and then go potty together. This is one tight sister act! For ten years they and their owner were an inseparable trio and life was good. But that changed when their owner suddenly died. In the blink of an eye, Rosie and Jackie became orphans. The owner's best friend took pity on her friend's beloved furkids and brought them home to save them going into a sheltering environment. However, she lived with family members, and they made it very clear that the dogs were not welcome in the house. They were not even welcome in the garage they were banished to, because as far as the family was concerned they were taking up valuable storage space. As we dog lovers know sometimes find you can't choose your family!
Luckily, Rosie and Jackie found their way to Southern Ontario Border Collie Rescue and were welcomed with open arms. These happy and friendly dogs have settled in there quite comfortably. They have been to the vet and are now spayed and their blood work indicates that they are both in good health for their age.
Things are definitely looking up for Rosie and Jackie, but there is still one pressing matter. They need to find a new forever home. Both girls are sociable dogs who love attention or to just lie near your feet. They are not overly energetic, but enjoy going for leisurely walks. Jackie, who is slightly smaller than Rosie, has an unusual hairstyle - she has bangs that sprout out behind her eyebrows, quite cute. They like to sing duets together, not too loud, just humming the tune to remind you they are around. They are a bit stout, weighing in at 50 & 54 lbs right now. Both have great teeth, looks like their owner might have brushed them.
They still have many years of love left to give!
