Barking For A Home - November - Lola

Posted by Lorraine Houston on November 7th 2011 Categorized under Barking For A Home

My name is Lola just like the song. Although I have never been a showgirl dancer many people feel I have good looks and charisma to be a star! I have petite physique and weigh in at a slight 10 pounds and although I am 8 years old, I don’t look at day over 3 years. I'm spayed, up to date on vaccines and am micro chipped. I had a kidney stone removed but that was a long time ago. I have lots of energy and enthusiasm for life. I love going for walks and strutting my blondeness!

I am a little timid and shy until I warm up to my human friends. When I get really excited, I do a showgirl happy dance and can even dance in circles. As strangers make me nervous, I do initially bark at them, but if they scratch my neck I can get past my nervousness.

I am a lady and do my business outside unless I am left too long. I confess to having a hard time holding it for long period sometimes due to my previous kidney issues.

I love to cuddle up next to my human, and I get along well with my canine foster sisters. I am crate trained and like to be in it while the humans are out and about. I also sleep in my crate at night but if you let me I would gladly snuggle into a dog bed or with you in your bed, but am quite content either way.

I will bark when startled or when someone comes near the property but will settle myself when asked.

I have a great personality as you can see I just need some reassurance and TLC. A dog guardian with patience, kindness and gentleness will be the key to my heart. If you think we would be a great match and would like to get to know me and aren't afraid of some kisses and cuddles then I am your gal!

Tiny Paws Dog Rescue (TPDR) is a charitable organization that assists dogs who are 20 pounds or less, regardless of age, breed or breed mix. The majority of dogs who come into the program are from shelters, where they have either run out of cage space or shelter staff feels the dog would be better suited to a foster environment rather than a sheltering facility. TPDR also accepts dogs via owners who can no longer keep their dogs for a myriad of different reasons. Once in the care of TPDR the dogs are placed in one of the foster homes for vetting, assessment and lots of TLC.
